Gemlite
Overview
The improved Gemlite is a specialised dual function, recessed modular luminaire dedicated to the
lighting of intensive care units. The Gemlite has been developed with the assistance of ICU specialists.
Features
- Offers two distinct light levels from one fitting. Thus meeting CIBSE recommendations for bedded areas and examinations
- Rapid switching to higher light intensity via G100/3 dimming controller
- Designed to comply with clean room standards with clear acrylic cover to facilitate cleaning
- Ceiling mounted and therefore independent of mobile ICU equipment, there is an absence of interference with sensitive monitoring or diagnostic systems
- Supplied with side arm fixing brackets as standard, to facilitate fixing in plasterboard or exposed 'T' ceilings. Alternatively, drop rods may be fitted
- Surface mounted versions available to order (please refer to our technical department for special installation requirements)
- IP54 rated
- 4000K lamps recommended for hospital use

Please note that the proposed location for optimum designed performance of this luminaire is determined by the following parameters
- Ceiling height
- Bed height/position
- Specific medical use
- Ceiling type/construction
It is vital that the bed position and the luminaire position are accurately located in relation to each other at the design and installation stages
