Installation Summer 2023

A great installation example over at the University of Southampton of our versatile Titan 6 high bay product in a sports environment. By switching out the old fluorescent fittings with the latest LED gear and technology, we were able to not only reduce energy consumption by 58 % but also increase illuminance levels and reduce glare in order to improve the lighting environment for players.

The brief was to modernise and redesign the lighting inside the sports hall at the University of Southampton to improve illuminance levels, energy savings and efficiencies.

Our Titan range feature high quality Tridonic LED boards and drivers, with precision optics to ensure optimum luminaire performance and versatility.

This project showcases how far lighting technology and innovation has come from when this sports hall was originally fitted out. The team of designers, manufacturers and suppliers collaborated to visualise how this new system could benefit the client, with the luminaires offering opportunities to collect vital data for smart building management and control, further improving efficiency.

The project team worked exceptionally hard to bring illuminance levels up and energy consumption down, resulting in an aesthetically pleasing, functionally sound multi-purpose hall that will create the best possible sporting environment for students to enjoy.
